Spiritual Intelligence: Good People

“Why do bad things happen to good people?”. Probably the most challenging philosophical question ever posed to humanity.

Many brave thinkers have wrestled with this dragon, some ending up in psychiatric facilities and no conclusive thought to show for their effort! I think the fact that these individual are often referred to as GOOD people tells a beautiful story…

A story that credits their strength of character, one that helps to propel them from obscurity to notoriety. Perhaps they preserve these stories for future generations. Job comes to mind.

Spiritual Intelligence: Human Nature

“No man really knows about other human beings. The best he can do is to suppose the are like himself”. ~ John Steinbeck…

To assume that everyone is involved for the same reason or purpose will sadly lead us to sorrow or even despair. We need to understand that some people feed on the good nature of others, and there is nothing we can do to change them.

They simply earn your trust or loyalty just for their gains, to them, you are just another victim! So wise up! There are countless examples in history, business, religion, politics, relationships, families, friendship,… It’s human nature.

Spiritual Intelligence: How Are The Mighty Fallen?

“How are the mighty fallen,…?” Whenever I read or hear of a scandal, I tend to ponder on the “How” questions and not necessarily the “Why”.

Apart from some rare exceptions the “Why” questions find answers in the universal principle of sowing and reaping. However the “How” questions provides me with food for thought and reflection for my life, in the hope that I may learn some valuable lessons.

Friends, regardless of popular culture, opinions, practices, peer pressure, circumstances…, we remain accountable for our actions. Wow…!

So, How and not necessarily Why.
