Spiritual Intelligence: Faithfulness

Faithfulness…

Of all the beautiful definitions of this word, the most relevant for today’s thought is this: To be steadfast in affection or allegiance.

Faithfulness goes hand-in-hand with virtues like hard-work, honesty, loyalty, steadfastness etc.

The Rabbi highlighting its importance in relation to stewardship and succession planning, said to his apprentices;

If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities

Friends in this life, “little” things mean a lot. They are the training academies for a life of exploit. World Changers like; Joseph, Moses, David, William Wilberforce, Mother Theresa, were all faithful in their time of obscurity. Little wonder why they have remained in the leaves of the chronicles of life!

So let’s crystallise this thought with the words of the great theologian and missionary, Hudson Taylor;

A little thing is a little thing, but faithfulness in the little things is a great thing.
