This Sunday @ Healingsprings fellowship

I maintain that as God Bearers, living out God’s purpose does not exempt us from the forces of Resistance

In our efforts towards continuation of creation, through advocating the Good News, and delivery of Social Justice initiatives here on earth, we will encounter all forms of Resistance.
As a proof text, the Psalmist asserts,

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all.” – Ps. 34:19

Last Sunday I homed-in on some case studies, with a view to illustrate that God’s call is not dependent on our ‘performance’ but on his providence. As such we should not allow our weaknesses and deficiencies (Internal Resistance) to hold us back from fulfilling his purpose.
This Sunday I will advance my argument with a focus on External Resistance. In the course of my talk I will explore theological developments in our understanding of the Adversary (Satan).
This teaching will shed light on Jesus’ presentation of Satan, and the common misconception in the church today with the terms, blessings and curses.
Join us as we explore External Resistance

Spiritual Intelligence: In All Things, Give Thanks

An incident:

Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.

So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

A statement by a Jesus freak:

Always be joyful. Always keep on praying. No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

My conclusion:
There is something tremendous about gratitude expressed through a lifestyle of thanksgiving. It brings a sense of inner peace to the person offering it, it frustrates the devil, and most importantly it gives glory to our God.

Just like Job’s, our lives are the platforms for the eternal battle between; Angels and Demons, Good and Evil, or God and Satan if you prefer. Therefore a life of praise gives victory to God, and massive destruction to the camp of the evil one!

Little wonder why Paul could boldly declare just when the enemy thought he had death as the ultimate offensive;

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

So give thanks today and always regardless of your situation or circumstance.

A health warning:
As you do things are likely to get worse, but as long as you continue steadfastly heaven gets the upper hand and victory is delivered! Its a choice my friends – a good one too.

Spiritual Intelligence: Miscarriage Of Justice

Miscarriage Of Justice…

A Miscarriage Of Justice is said to occur when a court or judicial system fails to attain the ends of justice, especially one which results in the conviction of an innocent person.

With that in mind, let’s consider an excerpt from one of king Solomon’s Life Observation Project;

There is another evil I have seen as I have watched the world go by, a sad situation concerning kings and rulers: For I have seen foolish men given great authority and rich men not given their rightful place of dignity! I have even seen servants riding, while princes walk like servants!

From the minute Adam and Eve were deceived by Satan, planet Earth has been in disarray. We lost our power and authority to Satan; chaos replaced order, and injustice – justice. Identified by Solomon as an error that arises from poor leadership. The product of a kingdom hijacked by trickery – unjustly by a traitor.

In Paul’s effort to explain our position in these matters, he used these words;

The whole creation waits breathless with anticipation for the revelation of God’s sons and daughters.

The kingdom will be restored soon and this error corrected. Justice, peace and prosperity shall reign again.

Friends your planet needs you, paraphrasing the words of JFK’s old headmaster;

Think not what your planet can do for you, but rather what you can do for your planet.
