Prophecy for this season

According to dictionaries, Etiology is defined as the investigation or attribution of the cause or reason for something, often expressed in terms of historical or mythical explanation.

So, in a bid to find explanation or meanings to life’s mysteries, men of old came up with stories. Over time these stories were interpreted and reinterpreted in line with the prevailing ideas of times and seasons.
For example, we have the biblical story of The Tower of Babel (Gen. 11:9). This mythical story comes alive again as we see institutions crumble. As we witness perhaps the start of a new Cold War, US stand (rightly so by the way) against Israeli occupation, and nations retreat to nationalistic values and agenda. Any leader worth their salt would know and understand the dynamics of seasons and patterns.
In other words, as we see in the natural, so it is in the realm of the spirits. Therefore, I declare that we are in a season of Outliers. In relation to the Church, the days of the mega church is over, not necessarily because of any ills – but with proliferation of technology and change in habits, that season is drawing to a close.
Dear Friends, I hear the warning the lord gave to Nineveh through Prophet Nahum (2:1), and the consolation he returned to Israel (2:2) for her years in exile, affliction and shame.
These Outliers will lead units through home groups, church halls, seasonal meetings, social media; until the season of ingathering. I see leaders of leaders, I see leaders of followers – glory hallelujah!

Today @ Healingsprings fellowship

Our God is sovereign!

Not just in principle, but also in practice.
And that we have been endowed with Free Will, a gift that can either add value to our lives and humanity at large, or diminish it.

Last week, I examined Prov. 11:14 & 15:22; using 1 Kings 22:1-40 as our Case Study. During the course of my talk, I stressed the importance of quality advice and guidance in fulfilling our purpose.

So, today I’ll be building on that foundation, this time with a closer look into the life of Micaiah, someone I see as an outlier. As with most of the prophets of old, I believe that those at fringes of their calling are about to be rewarded for their values, faithfulness, and vision.

So, we continue in the strength of our theme for 2016: Our Year of Plenty (Gen 41:46-49), as we plant seeds of prayers, prophetic declaration, and thanksgiving for 2017 (Our Year of Restoration).

We march in the light of Nahum’s assertions:
(For the Lord is restoring the majesty of Jacob, as well as the majesty of Israel, though ravagers have ravaged them and ruined their branches.) – Nahum 2:2
