Courage…
Mental or moral strength to, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.
Over 6000 years ago Noah was faced with a difficult task. God told him to build a Water Resistant Vessel (an Ark) to house and preserve life on earth from the great and terrible flood.
Prior to this encounter it had never rained on earth, so everyone thought he had lost his marbles when he shared his vision and embarked on this paradigm shifting project.
Friends, courage is most times refined in the furnace of stiff opposition. It will cost you “credibility”, “friendship”, “popularity” and other perks that goes with average life.
But in-spite of all he seemingly lost, he stayed the course, built the ark, made provision and collected life as instructed. In the end he was vindicated – the rest is history.
In the words of the Roman philosopher, Seneca:
It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult
So be courageous and do meaningful exploits – amidst the difficulties!
