The Words of Our Elders: Denise Shekerjian

To our eyes, these striking moments of creativity stand as magnificent monuments that appear so suddenly and with such impact, we assume a genius has been at work. The appeal of such an assumption is strong. It’s far nicer to think in terms of a mighty hand stretching down from the heavens sowing genius in the land than it is to believe in the kind of tedious plodding that goes into the cultivation of a creative idea. It’s far preferable to believe in thunderbolts than it is to have to face up to mundane, trivial workaday world. It might come as a disappointment, then, to realize that behind any creative piece of work is a lot earthbound effort.

Words Of Our Elders: Helen Keller (1880-1968)

“Be of good cheer. Do not think of today’s failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. You have set yourselves a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find a joy in overcoming obstacles. Remember, no effort that we make to attain something beautiful is ever lost.”

Spiritual Intelligence: Quo Vadis

Quo Vadis is a sentence in Latin which means, Where are you going in English.

For the past six months I have been writing and sharing updates of my spiritual journey via these daily thoughts with you. This mustard seed faith, expressed through my obedience just to write and share has opened the door to various other projects. The first being the publishing of my first book; a small collection of those early thoughts, entitled Echoes of Mercy, Whispers of Love. I can hear you saying in your heart:

Where are you going?

Well, now that my first book is out on sale, I will focus my time and efforts on marketing and promotion, with a view that it serves it’s God ordained purpose as a vision enabler. As a result of this and other commitments, I will not be writing and sharing any new materials daily until I feel a release to do so from The Lord.

My old posts will be shared via my social media contacts daily, based on topics or subjects inspired by the Holy Spirit. Also, I will create a search field on the site to allow users access topics using keywords like faith, crisis, pain, patience etc., this is the next phase and I believe we have enough content to keep us steady through our walk of faith. By the way, this idea was inspired by a friend’s request for something from me to a friend who had lost a close relative. In the midst of life’s high impact activities, I suddenly realised that these thoughts were actually designed to be; timeless and relevant God inspired words. So I searched through, found one that was fit for purpose, and sent across accordingly! In the words of prophet Isaiah:

A word in season for those that are weary

For those that are not on my social media contacts, hopefully you will be able to do the same daily, and share with friends and the wider public.

I would like to seize this opportunity to thank you all for your support and encouragement, I am really trying hard not to yield to the temptation to start mentioning names, lest I get into the trouble by forgetting anyone!

In the meantime, please continue with your support by sharing, promoting, and writing your reviews and recommendations on all the online outlets about Echoes of Mercy, Whispers of Love. Also, our campaign on indiegogo is still on, please make a donation if you haven’t done so already, and share with everyone. Coincidentally, I’ve hit five hundred likes with this post, a nice milestone for the start of the next phase.

And you my dear friends, in the words of Paul:

Do not be weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up
