This Sunday @ Healingsprings fellowship!

Hope.

In a world of pain, disappointment, poverty, and suffering; the message of Hope remains a timeless theme of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In this vein Tim Keller argues:

It’s impossible to meet the real Jesus and leave indifferent.

So this Sunday we will be exploring the concept of Hope, with lenses on: Psalm 30, 2 Cor 8: 7-15 and Mark 5: 21- 43.
Join us for fellowship as we draw strength from the Holy Spirit and scriptures for our pilgrim journey.

Spiritual Intelligence: We Have, As We Have Received Mercy

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully;

but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

Our opening quote is an excerpt from Paul’s letter to his friends in Corinth. Like most of his letters, it was written to the leaders and aspiring leaders within the body of believers in the community.

Friends in our walk with God, and as leaders in our own right, the need for transparency cannot be overemphasised. Jesus is the light of the world, so as children of the light, we must also shine. The more transparent we are, the faster and brighter His light shines through us. As His light radiates through us, it permeates every matter we come in contact with. It permeates our families, friends, neighbours, communities…

Our service to God and humanity (ministry) should be replicated by the mercy we have received from Him. He demonstrated His mercy through His painful and shameful death on the cross; He died to redeem us from our sins. So also we ought to demonstrate our appreciation through our various ministries. And as we do, we grow in grace (the power to function in ministry). In the words of Jesus on this same subject;

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
