We are standing in solidarity with our brothers and sisters. Standing in compassion and love. Standing for justice and progress!
At Healingsprings we believe in tackling root causes of problems. And we believe the church has an active role to play in addressing social problems – here on Earth.
For instance, we know that the underlying problem behind the current refugee crisis is to do with gross inequality, and natural disasters.
The competition for limited resources then leads to war and displacement of people.
Sadly, even when the displaced arrive in Europe, most times they get a really bad deal.
Therefore this year the focus is on the Congo. We will be watching the award winning documentary: When Elephants Fight.
Following which we will take contributions from members of our panel and the audience; with a view to press the UK government to act against the exploitation of the people and unfair trade.
There will also be opportunities for networking and refreshments.
Come and join us in changing the lives of some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in our communities.
