New Month Prayer, Thanksgiving and Communion Service
As our nation is bitterly divided over the recent referendum results, where is the place of the church?
Well, there are many things we could argue about with regards to Christianity or Christian Theology, but most will agree to our call to prayer, fellowship, and social action at grassroots level through Jesus’ body – the local church.
So as we look to the resurrected Christ in communion this Sunday, and we remember his sacrifice, a thought from the renown theologian, Jürgen Moltmann comes to mind:
the knowledge of the cross brings a conflict of interest between God who has become man and man who wishes to become God.
