The 7th I AM statement: I am the True Vine. – John 15:1, 5
Just after declaring his credentials as The Resurrection and the Life, Jesus performs the most incredible miracle – the resurrection of Lazarus!
This development was too much for his adversaries, by raising Lazarus Jesus had signed his crucifixion.
So as part of the preparation for his departure, he introduced the role of the Holy Spirit (our Advocate) to his disciples.
To this end I will be treating the 7th I AM statement: I am the True Vine.
I will be assessing what the evangelist was trying to put across to his audience, and how we can draw inspiration for fellowship, and spiritual warfare in the 21st century.
