And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.
Good morning friends. Allow me to submit to you that there are unseen forces that influence the affairs of humankind. This interaction can be compared to that of radio waves, and a radio. The radio picks up its signal and relays broadcasts based on the band and frequency it’s tuned into. So, even though we can’t see these waves with our eyes, they are present.
In the same vain, the human spirit can be influenced by either good or evil forces. Our spiritual orientation is the catalyst that attracts and connects to either signals. For instance, a healthy spirit picks up and broadcasts good signals, it is tuned-up through; prayer, meditation and self-discipline.
Once set, we just turn the radio on and we are connected to the programmes on the channel. This remains constant if the signals are not hijacked and our geographic location remains the same. When we shift geography as a result of fear, doubt, unbelief, disappointment, despair, frustration, pain etc., we just need to gather some strength like Samson, check the bandwidth and start tuning until relocate our channel!
With this in mind, let us rewind back to our opening verses. In these passages of scriptures, the prophet Zechariah speaks about the launch of a new radio station. One I would like to brand Grace and Supplication FM. Its frequency will be advertised to the people of God, and once they follow the instructions they will track the signals, and begin to transmit programmes led by the spirit of grace, and the spirit of supplication.
Once this starts, they will be drivers for change and transformation as we draw close to end of time. In the words of the psalmist:
Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your power; in the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.
So, in the day of these broadcasts, God’s people shall voluntarily yield themselves to be used of God through the spirit of grace, and the spirit of supplication.
