Spiritual Intelligence: My Helper

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

Good morning friends. No doubt the psalmist knew the source of his help – The Lord who made heaven and earth. When David the shepherd boy was asked about his strategy against the giant and mighty warrior Goliath, he listed his various encounters in the wilderness, and explained how God showed up as his mighty deliverer in each case. His past experiences of a faithful God, gave him the guarantee that God was within reach to deliver Goliath into his hands.

Enjoy the concluding verses of this beautiful psalm, do read a few more if you can, they have been a source of wisdom, strength and stability for me over the years.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Friends, our God is faithful. He is never late, He is never early, but always on time! Our God is mighty to save, regardless of the situation or circumstance – hallelujah!
