Spiritual Intelligence: Propaganda

Did God say?

These days propaganda can be defined as; information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view.

In the art of warfare, as well as the physical battle by; land, sea and air, there is also the battle for the hearts and minds. These mental and intellectual battles are sometimes the fiercest, with the sole aim to unsettle the combatants. An unsettled camp is a demoralised camp, a demoralised camp hardly win battles.

In spiritual warfare the enemy uses propaganda to unsettle the minds of the believer in the hope that they drop their armour and give up the fight for destiny. He comes through doubt – did God say? Doubt breeds unbelief, unbelief leads to poor choices, poor choices leads to fear. And a fearful disciple is a weak disciple – for the righteous is as bold as a lion! Bold to live a life of faith, bold to stand up for what they believe, bold to speak the truth!

With this in mind, Paul wrote to friends in Corinth;

The world is unprincipled. It’s dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn’t fight fair. But we don’t live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren’t for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.

Like Lots wife who sadly yielded to the temptation to look back after clear instructions by the Angel not to do so, many have been unsettled by the trickery and deception of our adversary the devil. And the pressure mounts, he’s out to snatch one more through his propaganda.

But in true rugged style I declare that the battle lines are drawn – No Retreat, No Surrender!

This couple obliged my offer to have their photo taken yesterday. I love their bold and stylish persona. God bless them!
