“Honesty can keep you safe, but if you can’t be trusted, you trap yourself”. Musing over these wise words from the writer of proverbs, I’m reminded of the song by Dido, This Land Is Mine.
I think it epitomises the dynamics between Honesty and her younger sister Trust. Honesty precedes trust, so as a result of our honesty, in time we enjoy the freedom and benefits of trust. Also their cousins, Time and patience play vital roles in order for us to reap our dividends.
No wonder the term “earn your trust”. Friends, lets play safe. Even Houdini knows the dangers of traps!
